CARES Service Coordinator – Full-Time
United Cerebral Palsy
United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Dane County has an opening in The
Respite/Youth Resources Program for a full-time CARES (Respite) Service
The focus of this position is to both prevent out of home placement, as well
as to reunify children in institution-like settings with their families. This
position requires strong interpersonal skills, experience supporting
challenging behaviors, a solid philosophy of inclusion, excellent verbal and
written communication, and a history of working cooperatively with others.
Responsibilities include coordinating services for families in crisis;
overseeing service implementation; managing and supervising direct
support staff; and coordinating respite services.
Qualifications include bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus at least
three years experience working with families who have children with
disabilities. Master’s degree preferred. Vehicle/license/insurance
