The State Bar of Wisconsin is searching for a customer-focused individual to support our Lawyer Referral & Information Service Program. The Specialist is the first point of contact to those calling our referral service, assessing callers' legal needs and making the appropriate referral to panel attorneys or other agencies within the community. In addition to responding to callers, this position will also provide program assistance to ensure that reporting and tracking procedures are in place.
Candidates must be able to communicate with diverse groups of people on a wide range of issues and have the ability to non-judgmentally work with others, responding to callers in a professional yet compassionate manner. Although direct legal experience is not required, we are looking for candidates who have at least one year of experience working in a community service, human service, social and/or legal services role, and are motivated to learn. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills a plus.
