The Alumnae Chapter of Delta
Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to grant scholarship awards to
these three
future leaders who exemplify the values of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority:

Academic and Visionary Award:
Danielle Crim
-- Danielle attends West High School. She has a 3.75 GPA. She has been actively
involved
in her school’s Cheer Team, the received several honors and awards including, NAACP
ACTSO Competition
winner, Omega Talent Hunt, Madison Area Music Award, Student of the Year
and was inducted into the French Honor
Society. After graduation, Danielle plans to study Music
when she graduates.

Tamiya Smith
Leadership Award:
Tamiya Smith -- Tamiya attends Verona High School. She has a 3.75 GPA. She has held several leadership
positions including, President of the Black Student Union, grade representative for MSAN, Captain of the basketball
team, Captain of the Varsity Track and Field team. Tamiya has also participated in the school’s mentoring program,
ACE Program, and the PEOPLE program. She has received several honors and awards including Urban League of
Greater Madison, Outstanding Student Award, Rookie and Sprinter of the Year for Varsity Track and Field, and was
inducted into the National Honor Society. Tamiya plans to study Criminal Justice/Law when she graduates.

Academic Award:
Marcus Williams -- Marcus attends East High School. He has a 3.83 GPA and has been actively involved in  
Volleyball, track and field, the Black Student Union, the Information Technology Academy, and the National Honor
Society. Marcus has received several honors and awards including the Spanish Award, Varsity and Academic
Letter Award, and the MLK, Jr. Outstanding Young Person award. Marcus plans to study Fashion Design after he graduates.
